CHANGES TO BETTER SERVE STUDENTS

Beginning late March 2009 there is a phased-in project underway with ALL Home Study courses. This project will be completed no later than May 2009. 

The changes are being made to enable a more robust experience for each student as well as to better satisfy our "vision" that people be TRULY self-empowered via study of chosen courses and in preparation for additional significant changes in first quarter 2009 which will be announced in the Newsletter and media appearances.

ALL Courses will now require case-studies, practice attunements, significant dialogue and other work as needed with course instructor(s) PRIOR to certification.  

This particular change is being implemented because of long-time concerns regarding the quality of student experiences during and after many classes offer via the internet. 

I have been absolutely astounded by the amount of individuals with whom I have worked who have certification in any number of modalities and have not the first clue as to how to use the tools offered within each modality for themselves or others - let alone to teach OR even more disturbing to me - those individuals who would claim themselves to be advanced - in a heartbeat - who have little knowledge about how to best convey information to people so that the recipient becomes self-empowered and, in fact, who engage in an ego driven dependency relationship with clients.

The internet is a GREAT tool for gathering of information; however, as with all information - one must decide - do they want the "easy way out" - get the piece of paper regardless of whether any knowledge was gained or not - OR - do they want to study and practice and learn sufficient information so that when they are Certified they truly KNOW the work and are completely prepared to step forward into their own power with ongoing support if necessary!
